Bambu Hybrid Cutting Boards and Tea Lights
|

Bambu has combined two sustainable, functional, and beautiful materials
in one innovative cutting board with the Hybrid series. One side is
bamboo, which is durable, harder than most hardwoods, anti-microbial,
and grows quickly without requiring pesticides and fertilizers. The
other side is cork, which is renewable (just the bark of the cork tree
is harvested), slip resistant, impermeable to liquids, hypo-allergenic
and anti-fungal, and cushions knives to keep them sharp. The are
combined in a sleek cutting board with perfectly smooth, gapless edges
between the materials.
The new Bambu DeLights tea light holders are simple and pleasing. Bambu makes them from scrap
pieces from their many other great products (see hybrid cutting boards, above). The holder accommodates
standard 1.5" tea candles.
Hybrid cutting boards, small $33.99, large $43.99 Tea lights $2.99

Hambone Designs Velopocket
|

The
Velopocket. In Franglish, that means "bicycle pocket." Not like a pocket that your
bicycle will fit inside, but a pocket that fits on your bicycle. You
get the idea. You can read the story of Hambone Designs creator Lisa Marie Grillos, just like we did, in this article in the New York Times. Available in two models: cotton print with a shoulder
strap (more like a pocketbook for your bicycle) and nylon cordura with
no shoulder strap. There are four different prints and four different colors to choose from. Hand made in San Francisco!
With strap $44.99, without $39.99
