Hello!
Greenward's second birthday is coming up this month. To celebrate, we are throwing our...
2nd Annual Earth Day/Birthday Party, Sunday April 19 On our birthday, you get the presents! Our good friend Alison Gordon of The Sampler
has assembled a batch of special Earth Day edition mini-Samplers.
She will be handing them out for free to the first 100 customers, so
plan to arrive early! Each mini Sampler
contains a variety of cards, jewelry, pins, books...all sorts of crafty
cool things that are also eco-friendly! Participants include Ex
Libris
Anonymous, Emily Kirchner Recycling Artists, and Naikid Soap.
About the Sampler The Sampler
is a marketing and promotional tool for indie businesses. Each month,
independent crafters, artists, shops, zines and record labels who run
web-based businesses send samples and promotional materials to a
contribution pool. All the samples are photographed, posted to the site
and then are portioned out, put in little packages and sent off to
Sampler Subscribers, other Sampler Contributors and members of the
Media all over the world.
Earthday/Birthday Sale All Weekend (April 18-19) Switching
to green cleaning products is a great way to celebrate Earth Day and
get your spring cleaning started. To help you out, all cleaning
supplies will be 15% off!
We
also know you will be inspired to do some recycled or eco-friendly
crafts once you get your hands on one of those mini-Samplers, so all of
our eco-craft books will also be 15% off!
We have a surprising selection of craft books for adults and kids that
feature crafts from recycled and natural materials.
New Stuff: As usual, in addition to the news, we have some new products available in the store and on-line. Have a look...

Hemp Shower Curtains
|

Many
customers have come in looking for shower curtains made with something
other than PVC. This 100% hemp curtain is a sustainable, natural
alternative. Hemp is naturally mold- and bacteria-resistant and
dries more quickly than other natural fibers. The 72"x72"
full-size shower curtain includes macrame curtain rings (those with an
aversion to macrame are free to use something else!). Made in
Romania. $99.
Note: Greenward is not responsible for uncontrollable urges to sing Bob Marley songs in the shower when using this product.

Lunch stuff: Lunch Skins, Kids Konserve Containers
|

The idea of the waste-free lunch seems to be spreading faster than Dagwood spreads mustard. To meet the demand for more reusable lunch items we have added a couple new choices.
First,
Lunch Skins by 3greenmoms are stylin' reusable snack and sandwich
bags. They are made in Maryland with a food-grade coated cotton
fabric from Germany. They close with velcro, can be washed in the
dishwasher, and have a place to write your name on the flap. They
are available in packs of 2 for $16. Yellow and blue make what again?
Second is the stainless steel snack container from Kids Konserve. Many of you had asked for these after seeing their cool waste-free lunch kits. These stainless steel containers hold 8 oz of your snack of choice and have leak-proof BPA-free PE (#4) plastic lids. $9 each.
