Viva Amore Grand Opening
We had the pleasure last week of meeting Anita Dunn of Watertown's new eco-chic bridal boutique, Viva Amore.  They offer eco-friendly and once worn wedding gowns and other formal wear, as well as services to plan an entirely green wedding.

Join them for their Grand Opening event on July 25 from 10 am - 5 pm.  There will be giveaways worth thousands from eco-friendly wedding vendors, as well as refreshments, food, cake tasting and music.

Hello Scott!

After the recent end of the Great New England Monsoon of 2009, it seems that summer has finally made it to Cambridge.  We hope that everyone takes the opportunity to enjoy it!

We know you love reading the newsletter, but it only arrives once a month.  Wouldn't it be great to know what's new at Greenward when it happens?  Then, when your friend says to you, "did you see that awesome new eco-friendly stuff in the Greenward newsletter?", you can smugly reply, "yeah, I heard about all that stuff weeks ago...You're right, though, it is awesome."  Get the latest by becoming a fan of Greenward on Facebook!  The link is a bit cumbersome at the moment:

If we get 1,000 fans, Facebook will give us a shorter link!

Here's some of those awesome new eco-friendly things that our Facebook Fans heard about already...

EcoGen

EcoGen boxes

Design Ideas' new EcoGen line is stylish, affordable, useful, and totally biodegradable!  EcoGen products perform just as well as conventional plastics - they are durable, dishwasher safe, and can withstand temperatures up to 230 degrees Fahrenheight - with two important differences:  they are made using corn starch instead of petroleum and they will biodegrade in compost or soil in six to nine months.  Most of the items we currently have are bathroom accessories, such as a toothbrush holder, soap dish, and a refillable liquid soap/lotion pump.  There are also small EcoGen boxes for your sorting and organizing tasks.  Click here to have a look. $2.99 - $24.99.

New Products from Alchemy Goods

AG Pike Bag AG Belt
AG Georgetown clutch AG Queen Anne Wallet
AG Magnolia handbag

Our favorite ingenious inner-tube inventors at Alchemy Goods in Seattle have come up with some stellar new products.  The Pike Bag ($128) is a slimmer model of their messenger bag.  The Belt ($38) will have you asking what we've been doing holding up our pants with something other than bicycle inner tubes.  The Georgetown clutch ($24.99), Queen Anne wallet ($57.99) and Magnolia purse ($88) offer a more ladylike approach.

Thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
Scott & Simone
